    Hi Glenn,

I heard about the story but I never knew that a photo existed...would be great if somebody could upload it to this thread if they have a copy!

That man is Ral Donner. He met Elvis in 1972 in Palm Springs (or in Los Angeles). Ral Donner was an impersonator who also did the voice over in "This Is Elvis". I have a picture on my hard disk and will post is ASAP

To the unelviseducated, picking the real Elvis could actually be a bit tricky!

Here's the picture of the event. I never heard of a color picture. This pic is part of some more of which some featured on the "Snowbird" album.

Here's another one. I made a mistake by referring to the left guy as being Ral Donner. Wrong! His name is Larry Blong and I found a very strange page about the man. He claimed to be Elvis' stand-in during the sixties and seventies. If we ought to believe him a lot of pictures whe thought of as being Elvis isn't. It's Larry. Yeah right, Larry, get a real life! For me it's clear. The right one is Elvis. For those who would like to know more about Larry Blong check the link and start laughing your *** off.......

    Time period and venue

    Great info and pix, Leroy!

I thought Elvis was actually Engelbert in the top photo!

Where these pics taken at Elvis' Trousdale Estate?

    June/July 1972 or March/April 1973?

    Cheers,
