    Jungleroom sessions

This is a cover that is on my wishlist for a long, long time. I don't want to use the jungleroom picture on the front cover, i think i made 6 or 7 covers over the last few months, and none of them was good, i hope that this front cover is good enough...
hope you like the effort so far, i will put a hold on the comeback special cover for a while, just to finish this one..

    Hmm, another Moody Blue-styled cover?

    Hell yes--why not?

It certainly works for me, Patrick. You're off to a fine start. I'll be interested to see what you do with the rest of the design to give it more individuality, but it's a winner in my book regardless.

...you won't forget me when I go.

well, its a good cover, don't get me wrong. but it takes away the atmosphere of a session and makes you believe you are going to listen to a concert

but i think it'd make a swell moody blue cover

Ok for the moody blue thing.

But for the front pic. why don't use a nice Candid from 76-77?
The live pic isent really for studio sessions

Anyway looking good so far mate

    LOVE THE OVERALL DESIGN PATRICK!!!!

But I have to agree with others here that perhaps a candid photo of Elvis from around the time of the Jungle Room Sessions might be a better choice for a photo on the front cover....just so it doesn't confuse people into thinking they are going to be listening to a live concert!!!

But personally, I LOVE the design thus far!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK and I can't wait to see how the rest of the design turns out!!

Thank you all, for your good comments! i know that it is a little confusing with a live pic on the front cover..but i searched almost 2 days for some proper candids...but couldn't find one! so if you have any good '76 pic, please let me know or just place it in this thread.
It is for me one off the hardest covers to make, cause i dont want to use the very familiar (is that correct writing?) pictures.
But i hope to finish this one soon

    PATRICK :

If you can?t find a nice candid pic - because EP was not in good shape at the time -, you can design yourself one by picking a nice live pic and transform it into a great "fake-candid". For example, you can change EP?s clothes COMBINING two photos... This is a place for creativity : i don?t think you?ll be blame here for "cheating" a little bit!

after a complete morning of designing, the back cover is finished, i really hope you all like it, and yes i used a candid pic for the backcover, just gave it a little colour, so it stands out a little more.

Yes, i know what you mean Ron! And this cover is a combination offall those covers, cause the content was partly released on the moody blue album, that was my idea behind this cover, so it can be placed next to that album, like a stripped down verion of moody blue, but i changed the back cover like you suggested, is this better?

The front is very nice.... But the alignment isn't correct (or can be nicer/tighter in my view): 'E L V I S' is wider than the title. If you compare my example with yours, you'll see that they're perfectly centered and of the same width.

If you prefer to have the name (ELVIS) and title at different widths, than you really have to center them (and not aligning them to the left of the middle column).

To me the dimension of the back doesn't seem right: the left and the right labels seem to be too big.

Thanks Albert! yes i know what you mean for the front cover, but it took me so long to create this one..and i really wanted to make a alternate cover for this album, that i just wanted to shere this one with you all, and it's not final version. And after the good comments of you and Unchained i re-designed the back cover a bit, hope for the better..
I will work on the front cover this afternoon.
But here is the final back cover

I do like the back cover now!
The 1973 candid works pretty well here (actually, it was taken in Memphis, if i remember well). The front shot is, maybe, a little bit sad because of Elvis? depressed face although this one was taken exactly during the JUNGLE ROOM SESSIONS. I would maybe try to do a "ESSENTIAL VOL 6 SUCH A NIGHT" design style : only half of the face on a side and the rest of the cover for the title... Of course, that would mean a totally different approach.
