When Did Elvis Look His Absolute Best?

While everyone has posted pictures either from movies or concerts, these pictures are Elvis is 'made up mode'.....the picture that truley shows just what a great looking man he really was is the one of him on the plane either to or from Hawaii in 1968....this was Elvis raw....so to speak. I have yet to see an awful photograph of Elvis. There are some that I don't particularly like the stage costume he is wearing, but he was always a great looking speciman.

If I'm not mistaken, some photos of the younger Elvis are to be found in the picture gallery 'Young Elvis' on this website. Tommy posted them for me so I'd like to thank him for it.

One picture is of a very young Elvis (though a tad older than the one on the album 'Elvis Country') and the other is a picture of the schoolgoing Elvis. They are both cute to look at and the Elvisly features are already visible.

Does anyone know if Elvis started using dye for his hair at a very young age or did his hair simply turn darker in a natural way while growing up? Or is it a combination of the two?

I think that at first Elvis was a blond as a kid, then his hair started to get darker (lil bit a so-called "dishwater blond")...I don't know when...but Elvis started to put different greases (and I heard that even shoepaste) in his hair to get them darker...

I think he never looked better then in 69/70. His weight was perfect back then, even better then in the 68 special where he's more chubby in the face.
69/70 saw Elvis at his physical peak and he also gave some of his best shows during those years.
The pictures will say it all.......

If I'd be performing, I would like the weight, movements and looks of Elvis around '69/'70 - but the voice of around '75/'76/'77 though, especially on ballads and gospel songs.. I must admit Elvis really played some rock 'n roll music in the period of '68/'69/'70 and did it well..

Really adorable looking in the 50's but I think he looked his best from the 1968 TV Special to the 1973 Aloha from Hawaii Satellite show. Seemed to have a little down time in 1972 on Tour, but after the Aloha show he seemed to be down more than up.
