LETS BE FRIENDS!
Quite differcult this one to me, as I love both songs.
Something Blue
ditto for me also.
Hi,
This is quite a difficult choice - both songs from different ends of the decade of the sixties - one a ballad, one a country r&b number.
I think I gotta go for - "The U.S. Male...that's M-A-L-E, son!"
Cheers,
NEA.
If you had said Indescribably Blue (I mention that because when I read this it first registered in my mind as that song), that would have added more difficulty to my decision. But U.S. Male still would have come out on top.
It's a fun song, not to be taken seriously...overcharged good-humoredly with testosterone. Not many Elvis songs quite like that.
...you won't forget me when I go.
I?m the US MALE

Image some rap beats under US Male? 'Coz it's almost like Elvis is rappin'.
Shall we ask N.E.R.D. for a cool hiphop remix from this song?![]()
Hmm its hard to say cause I love them both....but ok: SOMETHING BLUE
PS GREAT IDEA!

I'd have to go for US Male myself, I laughed when I first heard it especially when Elvis threatened to flatten the guys head like the shape of a stamp!!!
"When You Let Your Head get Too Big, It'll Break your Neck" Elvis Presley.
Hi Geordie,
Looks like 'U.S. Male' is the winner of the first two songs!
'No More' or 'Angel'?...Another quite difficult choice...
I've got to opt for the big ballad from "Follow That Dream"...'Angel' gets my vote!

My vote is for "Angel"

I'm a cheater.
I'll say Angel unless I can match it up against the Aloha version of No More.![]()
I don't know why people think Elvis sound bored or tired on those post-broadcast songs. I think they are somewhat understated or low-key, but not overly so or to the detriment of the songs. Early Morning Rain in particular sounds perfect with that kind of delivery.
And No More is a beautiful song, sounding much better to my ears in the 70s voice. I wish he had revived Angel then too, though I must say there's not much room for improvement there.

Oh! I really dont know...they are both beautiful!!!Hmm but I pick Angel![]()

when i first saw elvis performing those aloha songs i thought he was off his head.ive since learned that he was made to come back to the concert hall after the biggest concert of his life to do these songs.no wonder he looked shattered. by the way my vote goes toOriginally Posted by Lonniebealestreet

"Shattered" would be a bit strong in my opinion, to put it mildly. But on with the game...
Lovin' Arms v. Goodtime Charlie's Got The Blues
...you won't forget me when I go.
Hi Lonnie,
Now, I've won 2 out of 2 so far with the songs I've voted for, but this is getting more difficult...both from the great "Good Times" album from 1974...hmm...my instincts tell me to go with..."Good Time Charlies Got The Blues" - great number!

Loving arms!!! Beautiful song!!!
