I still have to go for the cover of the LP "Flaming Star" a great Cowboy picture of The King there, and still one of my favorite covers.
Yeh they are great, bought both of them back in the early 70's when they were released, vol 1 had a peice of E's shirt in the box, when i got my box set here in Australia it said 'Special gift inside' and that's what it was a peice of E's shirt...my parents hocked them both, and told me no Elvis was to be played in the house, now i play E everywhere i go and cranked up all the way...
jurno asking E about his musical style..."What are you rebelling against"...E's answer..."WHAT'DYA GOT"...Elvis Presley

Redroo,
Do you still have the box set and the piece of Elvis'shirt? Any idea which one of Elvis' shirts it was?

It was a piece from the white suit that he used on the movie Clambake.
Favourite covers.
"Elvis Presley" 1956; the first Elvis album, common that?s a classic, even The Clash cover it.
"Golden Records Vol I" and the "Vol II" those are classics to. 1958, 1959.
Maybe "King Creole" it is a must have to. 1958
"ELvis Is Back" this is an all time favourite cover and album.
"Elvis His Hans in Mind"; Paul McCartney love this album, but he doesnt admit it cause he?s a snob rocker"
"Roastabout" this album beat the Beach Boys out from the no 1 spot.
"Elvis" The NBC Special 1968, this is a Killer cover.
"From Elvis in Memphis" a very cool one to.
"From Memphis to Vegas From Vegas to Memphis" that double LP better know this days as to separate albums: "Elvis Back in Memphis" and " Elvis In Person" thats another classic Sleeve.
"Elvis. On Stage Feb 1970" That photograph they used, is so good.
"ELvs Country" this is a geat one.
"He Touch Me" a classy cover, such a shame that "How Great Thou Art" didnt have the luck of having sucha great cover. The Gospel albums deserve luxury.
"Separate ways" The album is awfull, I Hate the Camden releases, they are dumb, but the cover of this one is great.
"Raised On ROck" many people dont like this album, but admit it, the cover is amazing.
"Live on Stage in Memhis" The Grace Land cover is superb.
"From Elvis Presley Boulevar" Good cover, not a great album.
Cheers.

So, E's white 'Clambake' suit was cut to shreds for the 50 Gold Awards Box Set?
No doubt this was a 'Parker' idea?
Many thanks for the info ROR,

NEA...from memory. mind you it was back in the 70's, i think it was from TTWII the pic of him in the car, E is at the wheel and they are pulling up to the MGM gates, E has a long sleeve pychedelic shirt on, he shakes hands with the security guy at the gates of MGM then drives in, so i think it was that shirt, it was a give away with the first run of The World Wide Hits box set...
