HAVING SAT DOWN AND LISTENING TO THE SHOW FROM THIS DATE , I FEEL THAT ELVIS WAS IN GOOD FORM . HIS VOICE IS GOOD AND STRONG .- I LIKE HIS VERSION OF - POLK SALAD ANNIE . THERE ARE A FEW RARE SONGS THAT HE RARELY PERFORMED ON STAGE IN THE LATE 1970S , SUCH AS - WHAT NOW MY LOVE -

THERE WERE MANY CELEBRITIES PRESENT AT THIS SHOW - SUCH AS ROY ORBISON , TELLY SAVALAS (KOJAK) .

LISA MARIE AND ELVIS ' FATHER WAS ALSO PRESENT AT THIS SHOW .-

HE MENTIONS ON CD THAT HE LIKED THE AUDIENCE TO MEET HIM .-I BELIEVE THAT ELVIS EVEN DOES A RENDITION - ( OR A FEW LINES) OF ONE OF ROY ORBISON'S SONGS .-


I HAVE THIS ON AUDIO AND VISUAL DISC AND I WATCHED THE CONCERT . ELVIS WORE THE INCA SUIT -. I HAVE MANY SHOWS THAT ELVIS GAVE JUST LIKE ALL THE FELLOW FANS .-

ELVIS LOOKS GOOD AND HE DOES A GREAT SHOW . THERE ARE A FEW GOOD MOMENTS ON STAGE . - THE AUDIENCE JUST GOES WILD WHEN HE ENTERS THE
STAGE AND EVEN ASKS HIM FOR SCARVES AND KISSES WHEN HE DOES THE SONG - LOVE ME - .


ELVIS ' MOOD IS GOOD AND HE SINGS HIS HEART OUT JUST LIKE ALWAYS .
. BEING A N ELVIS FAN FOR MANY YEARS NOW , I AM SOMEWHAT INTRIGUED ON THE ENERGY THAT ELVIS HAD DURING THE CONCERT YEARS - (1969-77) .

IN 1968 HE HAD GREAT STAGE PRESENCE ( JUST LIKE IN 1969- 1970S ). HE HASD SO MUCH ENERGY AND CHARISMA .


I HAVE NOT FOUND THIS CHARISMA OR STAGE ENERGY FROM ANY OTHER STAR . EVEN WHEN HE CUSSED ON STAGE OR MADE A MISTAKE ON A SONG IT WAS PURE ENTERTAINMENT .


BACK TO 3RD DEC. 1976 NOW .- THE SWEET INSPIRATIONS OPENS THE SHOW WITH THEIR SONG AND THEN WE SEE ELVIS TAKIN THE STAGE - , HE DOES HIS OPENING SONG (CC ROIDER ) AND PLAYS AROUND WITH THE SONG I GOT A WOMAN / AMEN . - THEN HE DOES THE OTHER SONGS .-
MANY PEOPLE THINK THAT ELVIS WAS FAT AND BLOATED DURING THIS PERIOD IN TIME . I THINK THAT THE SUITS THAT HE WORE MADE HIM LOOK THAT WAY .

HE STILL HAD HIS VOICE WHICH WAS PROMINENT AND STRONG . - PL. SEE HURT ON 1976- - PITTSBURGH CONCERT - (DATED - 31.12.76)-
I LIKE THIS SHOW BECAUSE WE SEE THE STAGE POWER HE DERIVED FROM THE CONCERT YEARS . -

HIS RENDITION OF HURRT IS GREAT ON THIS SHOW AS WELL.(- CHECK IT OUT IF U HAVE DISC )






I HAVE BEEN AND I WILL ALWAYS BE A FAN OF THE KING AS LONG AS I LIVE . I THINK THAT HE IS GREAT AND I WILL NEVER EVER FAULTER HIM IN ANY WAY . - HE IS MY TRUE IDOL AND WILL ALWAYS BE .

Welcome aboard Karlos. Dec /76 turned out to be a great month of concerts from Elvis. Having lost weight, he seemed happier and re-energized, thus some excellent shows, especially late December.

EXCELLENT CHOICE KARLOS!!!

As Joe Car pointed out, Elvis was truly happy, re-energized and focused in December 1976, and he gave some GREAT shows throughout the entire month!!

I have the entire Dec. '76 Las Vegas engagement on CD, and aside from 1 or 2 of the shows, these are some EXCELLENT shows! Elvis really seems to be enjoying himself, his voice is strong and he performs some rare songs throughout the entire 15-show engagement!

But as good as these Vegas shows were, perhaps the tour de' force for Elvis in 1976 was the short tour at the end of the year, including of course, the infamous New Year's Eve show in Pittsburgh! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT SHOWS!!!

The Vegas shows were good but the tour later that month was much more energetic and varied in content.

I've seen footage dated Dec. 3 '76 of Elvis in the Indian Feather suit. He was a bit lazy of Polk Salad but generally it seemed like a very good show with good humour.

While I have not heard the particular show you mention, I did have the plesure of seeing Elvis in concert a few times in 1976. The shows I attended found Elvis in good voice and in very playful moods. There seems to be a lot of critics who paint with too broad a brush, in my humble opinion, about Elvis' performances in 1976. However, my personal experiences with Elvis' shows that year agree with your assessment rather than with the "critics."
