This was not a Elvis single, but an elvis ep that came out in the 60s
    and on the compact 33.

these are now very rare vinyl ep.

also there these came out on a 45 on a compact 33.

His latest flame b/w Little sister.

oh yeah these ep and th 45 where done in a 33 speed not on a 45 speed.

I had hold on of these in my hand, but i couldnt aford it.

    Curtis -

You are definitely a hardcore vinyl fanatic. Your comments here on Compact 33's are right on the money.

These pieces are indeed highly sought after & can command big bucks (ie: more than I would ever be willing to pay for an "ordinary" piece of vinyl).

I came close to buying one that was autographed by EP (which in my eyes would have justified the price) ----> but, ironically, it turned out to be a SECRETARIAL SIGNATURE. I laughed & moved-on, but was disappointed (it would have otherwise been a nice item to acquire). In this case, a genuine valuable piece of vinyl ruined / de-valued by somebody scribbling on the cover. Ahhh, the irony ..........

(Have also seen the same with forged SUN singles ..........., forged vinyl AND signatures ........ but that's another story.).

PS - It's also a bit ironic that some CD's are now being made to mimic the original "rare" vinyl; artwork wise, there can be no comparison .......... audio-phonic wise - IMO - it is more than likely, a sham ($$$).

Wow, what an enlightening thread! As I am fairly new to vinyl, I had never heard of these compact 33's! EP's on 45's, sure, but a 7" 33 RPM? This is the first thing I've read about this.

However, just recently I was scanning eBay and I saw a 7" Elvis record (a soundtrack, but I forget which), and I promptly moved on when I was convinced the seller was incompetent because he called it a 33.

By the way, cool CDs, Steve.
...you won't forget me when I go.

I have this "Flaming Star" Ep but ruined by my friend's s name scrawled accorss the cover ...oh well I guess he thought he would get rid of it-

In the same vein I have several " Elvis Monthly's" I picked up second hand which has the previous owners name across the cover .

Only consolation is I got them quite cheap
