fecc mb is shut down again

i got an e-mail about this but i think this was a spam,
because i had about 7 of these.

i was on there site a few mints ago i got in and the people from fecc said they didnt
sent any e-mails

then i try to come back just now i couldny get in.

oh well i have this to come to.

I've been having trouble all week trying to get on the Fecc

I received 7 messages from them also, and they all said the same thing, that I need new software to download to get to the site. Is this some sort of 'virus' or spam as you say Curtis? It had a link but I didn't use it.......

Funny, I also got the 7 e-mails. Very strange message--I didn't try the link either. I guess if I had been trying to log in over there I might have been more inclined to do so (not a dig; I just don't have time to keep up with any Elvis site besides this one), but the wording of the message was just odd. It said in part:

sorry but forum ist now cosed

you need new software for acces

Someone has just told me that the site was hacked into. Whether this is true or not, I don't know...but they should put something in the elvisnews site that something is wrong. Especially if someone uses the link given in the e-mails.....could cause a lot of problems.....

Common sense would dictate that any legit MB / Forum is not going to shut it down & demand all members upload "software."

Two-words: Viruses / Hackers.

Just ignore, it will be fixed in due time.

I open this e-mail.
like a dum fool i download that dam thing.

now i dont know theres a virus or not so right now i have my norton scaning my computer.

I thought fecc send this.
next time i be very carfull.


thing is how did they got my e-mail add.
the one i have on the fecc is no longer running.

and top that off i have my blocker in full swing.
only a few people i know can get to my e-mail.

It's definately spam (or a virus) or something, because FECC did not send any emails to their members...

If something weird like that should happen to this site, please first send an email to Albert, or one of the moderators and I'm sure one of us (or all of us ) will answer your question!

Never download any software when you might get an email in which you are requested to do so...

I got the e-mails on Wednesday. I have spamkiller from McAfee on my computer. It sent them to my blocked mail file. Having been alerted by the tcb-world mb I deleted them right away.
