PLEASE, PLEASE FINISH THIS ONE SOON!!
Just the other i played the 'he touched me' album from 1972..and with all the newly released gospel albums it's very easy to update this album in sound and extend the songs..lot of alternates takes are released through the years. So why not make this an FTD future classic album? here is the front preview, hope you like it!

Altough i liked the original cover(classy shot) i do like this one too,Patrick.
The fonts are really pretty,Gospelstyle.
Maybe you can use somwhere the original design in the inner design too?
Great work.![]()

wow..that's a lot of positive reactions here! Thank you guys!
As for the b/w pic, Unchained: I did colourize this pic (on my old pc) but i didn't like that on this cover the b/w just stands out a little more. And it's also one of those pics without a jumpsuit, with a gospel feeling..hope you know what i mean..
And for the original design..i don't want to repeat it into this cover, it will be on it..but only a small pic that's refering to the original album.
I'm gonna work now on the backcover and the disc cover...
I love this cover Patrick...can't wait to see the finished product disc and all....![]()
For the bmg-sony label...that one was on my old pc (so i lost that one) so i had to work with the old logo...Originally Posted by Unchained

And for the disc..i've been playing around with the text for so long that i couldn't see if this was right..i thought this was the best place to place it..
Maybe i will redo the disc cover..but i have to give this one a rest for a few hours..after work tonight i will try to make the insert and inlay cover..but it's very hard to find some decent pics from 1971/1972, cause i don't want to use to many in concert pics...
Yep,Patrick ,that's it!!
It must be one of your best designs yet!!![]()
It's clear, has nice pics, looks proffesional(with those little RCA covers at the bottom),overall,a great effort!!
If only FTD itself could look at this kind of work...![]()

Hi Patrick,
I think it would be great if the back cover is the same style / colour as the front, with a different picture in the background (maybe the picture of Elvis and his (gospel)grammy?)...
The label looks great, but it will be better without the tracklisting and perhabs with the curly 'E' larger, all over the disc...
Just some suggestions!![]()
The back cover is in the same style as the front, i used all the colours that are on the front cover..if i go for the layout as the front...it would be a straight copy of the ultimate gospel cover...and that's not what i want for this cover..but thanks for the advice, Aron.Originally Posted by AronNL
As i said to Ron also, the disc cover will change in the final product! i'm not happy with this one also..
Thank you Johan! Glad you like the effort i made on this cover. Yes..if FTD...there are some good designers on this board that blow away the guy who delivers the FTD covers..Originally Posted by JohanD
