if elvis sent in his tape of him singing thats when youre heartaches begin,or for that matter my happiness,do you think he would of been picked up by any mager record company,in todays bussisness.i think the answer would be NO.he does not sound manerfactured enough,what do you think.

I think in this day and age a demo tape would consist of 3-4 songs and this would certainly give someone the chance to cover the broad range of what they could achieve.

As for Elvis, if he was just starting out he would be totally different to what he was in the 50's, it would be probably something along the alternative lines. In the early 50's Rock N Roll was something that had never been heard by the mass population.

Chances are Elvis would get through the first couple of round and the be booted off for not being main steam

Elvis is to talented to be on Pop idol.
I don't think it would have helped his career,he would have probably have been
forgotten in a couple of years.Like most of the singer's on there have.
