Elvis song "is it so strange" in stereo

I was playing my camden lp last night and i found something kinda of odd.
the album i was hearing was "Separate Ways" the original rca camden cas-2611 stereo lp.

this lp has both mono an stereo recordings.

but only one song on here from the 50's 'Is it so strange" is indeed in stereo,
not the stereo on the stereo 57 album, but stereo a good mix.

I can here scotty's guitar playing on one side and Elvis is on the middel
so you can here him up front, the jordanaires you can hardly hear them but you can hear them.

if you have this lp try and listen to this, best bet of hearing this with headphones

and let me know what you think.

I have no record player operational right now but what you're telling here is odd indeed. Have you tried the other versions of "Is It So Strange"? Although it's a pitty that the Jordanaires disappeared in the background. One of the important ingredients of the "Elvis Sound" is Elvis voice blending into the harmony vocals so far he becomes a part of the harmony vocals. That's one thing I like about the seventies recordings.

A whole different thing happened in the mid-sixties with the "Harum Scarum" soundtrack. You hear Elvis singing in your living room while the music is played by a combo two blocks away from where you live.
