Thread: What are we watching?

  1. #1

What are we watching? Non Elvis, that is...

For all you movie fans out there...

Last night I checked out "The Village", the latest thriller by director M.Night Shyamalan.

Yep, that's the one who directed "The Sixth Sense" in 1999.

At first I thought I might not like "The Village", but to tell you the truth I really enjoyed it.
It's got it's share of scary moments, thought it never gets as scary as "The Sixth Sense".
Like TSS also "The Village" has a nice twist as the story develops.

It stars: Joaquin Phoenix (Gladiator), Adrien Brody (The Pianist) and Sigourney Weaver and William Hurt.

I thought it was a good - thrilling - movie!

Hi Sonny, thanks for the info, because the bits and pieces I saw on the tele didnt impress much, but it is good to know its better then that Really enjoyed the sixth sense. The latest movie I saw was Mindhunters, which I thought was a nice time spender.

it is a great movie, Rene..thrilling...and frightening at the same time...

In that movie....we just never know what would happened, til the last minute ...

Like "Sixth Sense" and " Signs" .. Shyamalan movies always full with surprises...and he often appeared as cameo...on ' The Village' he was the man who read the newspaper...

Go and get it on DVD...I think its worth your money

I'm just trying to get my fave actors' movies on DVD. So that means Beatty, Redford, Chamberlain and then some

Right now I'm in the middle of my Warren Beatty craze So far I've got Bugsy, Heaven Can Wait, Ishtar, Bonnie and Clyde, Splendor In The Grass, The Parallax View and Shampoo and am still looking for the rest. What a big hunka love that guy was, sex on legs, baby, mmm. mmm.

Have you seen that last one with Redford: The Clearing?

    Pretty good thriller, you know...

But Redford and Dafoe are always great to look at.

Nope, not yet..... Yeah, Redford is a fine actor. Too bad he had that horrible plastic surgery on his eyes. Sure he aged, but he should have left nature to its course.....

Last night I watched White Oleander. I read the book a couple of years ago, but while watching the movie it all popped back in my mind. I think they did a nice job.

Believe it or not I just started watching the Post-Concert "Insert" Song Sessions from the Aloha DVD box..

I had quickly fliped through them when I first got this DVD set,but went straight for the two concerts and the initial arrival where he greets the fans..By the time I watched all that I was too tired to watch the rest..So several months later I decided to pull it out and check it out...

Ben Stiller is a HOOT!!! And that other guy is very cute! Vince... something..
I really have got to see Meet the Fockers, with Dustin and Barbra! And I want to go see Ray, the epic about Ray Charles, but its three hours, so I think I rent that one!

So this is more about go see than see for me....

    You are absolute right!
It is a fantastic story. Everything changeed within seconds. Sometimes from a bad situation in a even worse situation.
A little bit of timetravel + changing the story of life.
You change a little bit a very small part of your life but than everything change within seconds ;-)
