    A New Date With Elvis

    Hi all,
I made this CD for my personal collection. I wanted to put together a CD with my favorite 70's studio cuts on. I based it totally on the "A Date With Elvis" album from 1960.... Anyway, I just thought I'd share it with you, see what you think...

Good design, very fine tracklist. But what is that 50's picture doing on the back cover? It's almost if rca himself did this cover.. they are famous of placing the wierdest pics on their covers. But your design is impressive, if you change that pic on the back for a good 70's pic (there are lot of candids wich are perfect for this cover), than you have created a winner here!

The whole reason for the 50's picture on the back cover is that I simply love that picture, and it fit the "Date with Elvis" title. besides as I said it was only made for me...But I thought i'd let you'all see it.
Nothing wrong with your point though Patrick, I remember all too well the lack of imagination and correctness of the RCA cover efforts. I was just being selfish because I love that pic. lol...But just for those of you who would like an alternate..here it is.. Thanks again patrick for your valued input!

    WOW!!!!!!

You've got a real winner here Tony. The overall appearance is really professional and sharp, and I like both the 50's photo and the 70's photo versions for the back. Either way, it looks fantastic, and you have done an excellent job in putting it together.

Keep them coming my friend - you have a wonderful tallent

    Looks great Tony

Like the idea....the pictures....well....like it all. And with the 70's picture on the back too...its a beauty. ( Do like the 50's shot aslo...but prefer the 70's....ties the cover together better)

    cool work my friend
    TCB Chris.

Really good work! I really like that 50's shot also, but I have to agree with Chris and the others that it breaks up the flow. Now if we can just locate a 70's photo of him doing the same thing.

FIRST RATE WORK AS ALWAYS TONY!!!

I LOVE the entire concept....the photos you chose are AWESOME!!! (And I am glad you decided to change that 50's photo on the back cover to a 70's photo in keeping with the overall CD theme...not that the 50's photo wasn't a cool one, but I have to agree with the others that it seemed a bit out of place considering you have a 70's theme going here)

The tracklisting is OUTSTANDING....it's almost like you read my mind and put most of my favorite 70's songs on here!!!

KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WORK MY FRIEND!!!

    Thanks Mike and all,
I love those particular songs..It would be very easy to make a vol 2 of this theme also..I might do something like that soon. I have played this CD in my car for the last few days and I do love the selections I made..It sounds awesome!
Here is the front cover pic on it's own for you all...
