Today Album

I have been trying to get hold of this CD for a few months now to no avail. Elvis Australia have their feelers out for it and I have looked at Amazon as well but they are out of stock. FECC don't have it on their list. EPE doesn't have it in stock either. :bash: :bash: I really feel as though I am banging my head up against a brick wall. I have most of the contents of the CD on an import, but I don't have the album itself....unbelievable you may say, but it's the truth. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to purchase this?

Hi Carolyn. Sometimes I see Cds that are suposed to be out of print in a shop I visit. I am going there on thursday and will look for it.

They do have the 20bit release of Today!!!

Just got the 20-bit Japanese version myself a couple weeks ago, thanks to jungleroom's recommendation. It's simply stunning! You've gone without the album this long, Carolyn; even if it takes a little longer to track down, I'd suggest you hold out for that one.

The places I have looked have this Japanese version listed, but its about $60.00 Australian......and there were only 3 copies left. If all else fails, this will have to be the way to go. Just won't eat for a week.....

As Bobby said, I picked up a copy of the Japanese remastered version of the TODAY album from Half.com! As I have said before here on the board, TODAY is my FAVORITE Elvis album, so when Bobby sent me the link to Half.com for this CD, I just knew I had to pick it up!!

It is absolutely breathtaking how crystal clear these tracks sound!! I've had the original RCA CD of TODAY since it came out in the mid-90's, but the Japanese version just blows that RCA version out of the water....IT IS THAT GOOD!!!

I see Bobby posted a link to Half.com, so if you can, I would suggest spending the extra money (it's only $24.09 U.S.D. on Half.com) and pick up the Japanese version....I think you will be glad you did!!

If you do get it, I would be interested to hear what you think of the sound quality!!

Sorry Carolyn I don't have a phone number but it is , from memory, 329 Victoria Street, about two-three blocks west of the Victoria Market. It is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Denys Williams is the guy in charge.
