    Sweet child in time
    you?ll see the line
    line that?s drawn between
    good and bad
    see the blind man
    shooting at the world
    bullets flying taking toll
    If you?ve been a bad
oh Lord I bet you have
    and you?ve not been hit
    by flying led
    you?d better close your eyes
you?d better bow your head and
    wait for the ricochet

Yes, I saw this news as well.

    This, of course, is fantastic.

Wonder why it has taken so long to finally come out?

My first thought, being the natural skeptic that I am, .............. was -----------> is it legit?

I certainly hope it is. Too many unknowns / unanswered questions to say anything at this point.

If this is for real, I suppose the blanks on the box do not have to mean those parts were not recorded.
The missing parts (if missing) can be replaced by tracks taken from other June concerts. We're just talking introductions here, aren't we?

But if this is for real, it doesn't matter if those parts were recorded or not. It needs to see the light of day!!!

It should be released as soon as possible, and I say: this is the year to do it!

Holy canoli...I'm gonna try to keep my excitement in check, but it sure is fun to think about this. If this is accurate, obviously this revelation is HUGE.

I'd always heard it was in the hands of an Indianapolis deejay, but I don't know if that's true. A lot of people say that soundboards weren't recorded on that tour though...And the soundboards that do exist from 1977 are incomplete, with usually the first few songs missing, so I wonder why this one was recorded from the beginning.

And the most notable thing about this is that it's in stereo!
...you won't forget me when I go.

    Yes very interesting indeed.

Fantastic if it's release is imminent, although ultimately frustrating if it does exist and never makes it to CD.

Here's the image of the box and the link to the original website source...........

Of course this show has been available as an audience recording on import CD for some considerable time.

Here's a link to the information on that release, and indeed some discussion regarding the show itself, some of you may find interesting..............

    And So It Goes ....

Evidence (not surprising to me) is pointing to the Indy Box. as being a fraud.

The box / label, IMO, did look very suspicious on a number of different levels.

Ernst or someone at BMG really needs to address this story immediately to verify if this id true or not. The longer they remain silent, the longer more rumors and stroies about it will evolve.

If it's legitimate, then tell us, the fans - we deserve to know the truth on way or another.

I Agree Boss Man, there is only one guy that can tell us if this is for real.

Just emagine this is a joke, that somebody made this case himself, pretending it is THE TAPE. There are nutcases enough on this world that will make a box themselves. Let us first hear/see proof if this Tape is real.

    I have my doubts!!!!!!

From what I'm reading, everyone is begiinning to say that this is all a hoax.

Anyone heard anything that backs this up?

Hoaxes of this nature are much akin to ...... & serve the same function as MYTH.

They exist or are created simply because -----------------> they are things that we WISH were true & would like to or prefer to believe - instead of the alternative.

    ------------------------------------------

    Another case-in-point:

The "Fike" "Cry For Help" Letter(s), ........... on Hilton stationary (indirectly & mistakenly backed up by Marty Lacker, as well)- (currently in its final sale days on E-bay). This is what I was referring to in my earlier post on this thread. Many "fans" would like to believe that such things were true. Others sometimes use these things to their own advantage - on various levels - because they appeal to a very fundamental level of the fandom & their NEED to believe (just look at some of the responses that "The Indy Rumour" has elicited, both, on this board & others).

Welcome (ironically) to The REAL Elvis World ..............
