Oh this show is one of my favorites! Love this show very very much. Sonny, I agree with your opinion and agree that the sound quality is not very good but anyway this show is fantastic. And I love the live version of "Only believe "

Although Elvis really sounded rather bored throughout his Jan./Feb. '71 Vegas engagement, this show probably is the best one from the engagement. He did manage to try out a few different songs (SNOWBIRD, ONLY BELIEVE) which is always nice, plus changing the closing song to THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM was definitely unique.

But overall, he just sounds very bored....shortening songs (just listen to YOU'VE LOST THAT LOVIN' FEELING), not talking much in between songs...it's kind of sad to think that he was THAT bored already, and it was only early 1971! I know his illness during this engagement probably was the biggest reason for the lower-energy shows he gave, but my feeling is that he should have simply postponed the engagement until he was feeling better!

    Just my opinion, though...

And that's a real shame.... I also have that problem a lot: barely listening to fantastic show due to the bad audio.

Let's hope they'll find a way to improve this kind of sound in the future

heres an oldy but a goody- the gatefold cd artwork is inspiring as is the cd performance although not a first gen copy , but good enough to get the sense of what the show was like , all great material, and the kicker is a great performance of there goes my everything and of course a reasonably good hearted attempt of the title track, and a great version of make the world... a winner none the less.

This was the first import cd I bought and I've only listened to it 2 or 3 times. Not very exciting compared to some shows.

agreat ol release on shiny to bad the sound is a bit muffled and the title track sounds a bit tired even for a gospel number but the commitment was still here within 4 months yhings would change to a slower pace.
