But my favorite memory is my wife and a friend going to the bathroom before Elvis came on-they were in a long line and then the opening bars of
"2001" began and the room emptied-my wife had to go down a level to the restrooms and when she came out she saw Elvis come out onto the stage...he stopped and looked in her general direction (among about 10,000 people) then he smiled.
She came running back to her seat yelling "HE SMILED AT ME HE SMILED AT ME" I laugh every time I recall it-among 10,000 he smiled at her and only her!
I think "America the Beautiful"was done very well that night and also "Hurt"
