Pretty impressive, who knew you could play almost as good as me.
Hey everybody!
Hope you'll enjoy the three different versions of Bach's prelude in D-Major.
Harpsichord version - please note the ornaments at 2:18 and 3:18 differ (then again, everybody hears the difference anyway):
Organ version:
Piano version:
Intention of this thread is also to find out how good an audience (in this, the visitors of TCB-world) is in taking notice of quality. The demands I had set myself are as high as the demands I had set for the country song, which attracted a proud number of 35 viewers and one reply (by a very important person).

Thank you Cibetty! Perhaps we'll find a cure for it sooner or later.
King of the whole wide world: work on this piece started more than 2 years ago. Thank you for showing interest in my life's work.

I'll Remember You!!!
I'm not really into classical music, as I believe I mentioned some time ago. But you are really talented friend. My compliments!
@Turbo: those are some nice pieces in D-major, albeit different from the one I had shared in this topic. If you read carefully, you will notice that this piece took 2 years to develop (in general I've been playing longer than that period of time). Of course there were also other obligations and musical projects, so the timespan could definitely be shorter under ideal circumstances.
To be honest, I don't think this piece should be played in a higher tempo. I could record a sonatine by Clementi sometime soon. It has some up-tempo parts, which the untrained audience typically translates into higher level of musical ability, even if such a piece is more accessible than this work by Bach.
@Evi: that sure is interesting, you would choose the harpsichord. Proves that certain things can not be debated, as I've read other comments rather depreciating the harpsichord and piano version, while praising the organ version. I won't forget Evi's liking for the harpsichord!
And one should keep in mind that there are some limitations in recording and acoustics. If I turn up the volume of the piano, you get this "kggggh" sound.
@Sonny: Thank you, glad to know your experience with classical music is a good one!![]()
