    This is a prime example of why Elvis needed to be in the company of people outside his norm-he obviously was happy to speak with Rumsfeld about matters that probably would never come up in his normal circles....and that promotes thought and growth.

    that's the problem with getting into an 'insular' world....there's not enough (outside) people to take the bull by the horns and tell you how it is, instead of 'yes Elvis' all the time. They were all in a very closeted existence, not good for anyone. Coupled off with Tom Parker deliberately making sure no outside sources got into the fold.....
