Yeah maybe you're right. I didn't think of her drinking way before. I thought it started when Elvis became really famous had his big break and they all moved to Graceland. She couldn't take it anymore. Her son being away for so long and all the new lifestyle so I thought that's when she started drinking heavily. Yes I knew what she died of now but back then in 1958 they weren't exactly sure what it was that really killed her.

This is because her beloved son, Elvis has become really famous and they moved to Graceland.
Yes, it was also very difficult for the poor simple loving Gladys.
She could not take it anymore. "Her son was away for so long, and the whole way of life"

I'm afraid that's the case with newspapers all over the world anymore. Everyone watches the newcasts on television and thank god they aren't sensationalized as much as the papers...so far.

Yeah!! Agree, Dee, I see every day, people are looking for shocking titles and newspapers and they just buy most often. It always will be.
