    Elvis and an unidentified species

I found this extremely rare photo of Elvis and some kind of weird animal pet. Does anyone know what this is? It kind of looks like a badger, but I'm not sure if it is.

it a Wallaby and they're native to Australia. (my homeland) They're a marsupials and are part of the same family as kangaroos. It was given to him either during or just after filming Jailhouse Rock I believe he gave it to a zoo.

I always loved this picture. I wonder if that wallaby ended up in the Memphis zoo as did most of the more unusual animals he received from fans. Animals that would have been hard for him to keep at Graceland.

Now that I see it does have two big back legs and two small legs like a kangaroo. But no wonder Elvis donated it to the zoo. That thing would have kicked his butt. Then again, he should have traded the Mafia into the zoo for the kangaroo. It would have been more loyal.
