I am aware of Timberlake's achievements.

I would like to say one more thing about Justin Timberlake.

As i said i think he will be inducted eventually because as a museum they will need tourists and inducting Timberlake would help them with that.

If i had to make a predicition i think Timberlake will get inducted before Chips Moman does.

I think when Timbelake does get inducted he will pale in comparsion to the other inductees.

I think Timberlake could help put Memphis back on the map by recording a couple of his albums there but he doesn't do that.

If Elvis had lived at Graceland but never recorded anything in Memphis and the Memphis music hall of fame decided to induct him because he was the most famous resident that would be the equivalent to Justin Timberlake.

It has nothing to do with me liking or not liking Justin Timberlake i just don't think he deserves it.

All the people on that list have had/have successful careers either as producers or recording artists right? So has JT, the only difference being that he has yet to record in Memphis. The MHOF will not black ball JT purely on this, they will view it like I do, on his hugely successful career.

Your standards must be exceptionally high if you don't think he deserves to be inducted.

Justin Timberlake hasn't done more for Memphis music than anyone since Elvis.

Let's be realistic all the people on the induction list have done more for Memphis music than Timberlake.

You missed my point. I said since Elvis. All of the inductees came before or during Elvis' lifetime. Nobody since, black or white, has had such an enormous impact on the city's image the way Timberlake has had. He loves Memphis so much that he at one time was wanting to build his dream home on the Mississippi River, but the government wouldn't allow it. Justin's grandfather once met Elvis back in the 60's and his mother Lynn attended Elvis' concerts at the Mid-South Coliseum form 1974-76 and was a member of the For The Heart fanclub in Memphis back in the 70's. Justin has also publicly claimed on many occasions that Elvis was the first thing that he ever heard as a child growing up in Millington, TN, just north of Memphis.

Justin also launched his own record label called Tennman Records and although it's based out of LA, it was supposed to be in Memphis. But political powers wouldn't step up and help fund it therefor it got backing from LA. Justin's label would have re-launched the music scene in Memphis creating many new important jobs and brought outsiders back to Memphis to record the way that Stax, American and Sun did back in the days.

Go back and re-read my post. Justin WANTED to launch his label in Memphis, not LA. But political powers who wanted a cut in didn't allow it to be funded therefor it went out west. Justin did sign a few artists from Memphis for his new label. A rap group, a contemporary country/pop artist and another act.

Justin Timberlake may have wanted to have his label located in Memphis but it's not it's in LA.

These artists from Memphis on Timberlake's label will they be recording in Memphis or Los Angeles?
