That is the beauty of internet usage-someone can post something on a supposedly reliable site and then the rumor causes havoc.
For all the immediacy of internet usage-it also spreads so much misinformation it is not even funny.
Despite a rumored post over on another Elvis forum, the news of DJ Fontana passing is false. Someone broke that he had passed over at FECC then news from DJ himself via Facebook is that he is alive and well. There is some crazy stuff going around these days on Twitter and Facebook of people breaking falsified stories that a famous person has died when it is not true at all. Eddie Murphy had his daughters crying calling his cell one day saying that it was on twitter that he had died when he was in fact alive and well.
These things need to be stopped ASAP.![]()

I dream a world where man no other man
will scorn. Where LOVE will bless the earth
and peace its paths adorn...
That is true.

I thought everything you read on the internet was true.
I'm glad this is a false story. My first thought was I'm glad I was able to see him play the drums at the 35th anniversary concert.
Love Elvis...The Greatest
RIP Tommy

Thank God, I just had the opportunity to speak to him at the Peabody in Memphis and tell him thank you for the great performance at the concert. Whew, that was close. Yet time marches on with us all and we will probably be losing many of these important pieces of history in the next couple decades.![]()
