14 nominations and their lifetime achievement award wasn't bad.

Several recordings of his have been inducted into the grammy hall of fame.

That's more than a lot of others singers have gotten from the grammy's.

I don't know for a person who changed music forever and is one of the most influential people of all time has only won 3 Grammy’s and a lifetime achievement award. If you look at the list of past Grammy winners you practically have to go to the bottom of the list to find Elvis. I don’t want to pick on certain performers but there are people that are not even close to Elvis’ league and they have more than 3.

The nominations mean absolutely nothing, they are not wins. You should take a look at the list of nominations, Elvis had 14 and Kanye West has 44. Like I said nominations really mean nothing but they are looked at with pride from some people.

One might argue that the Beatles have been shunned too. They only have 7 Grammy’s.

Yeah i'm aware of all that.

The grammys are a joke and most people don't take them seriously.

Still i wouldn't say Elvis was shunned by them as he has received some recognition.

The reason Elvis didn't get many grammys is that RCA didn't push for it.

It's all political where the labels push hard for their artists to be nominated and win.
