It's from a song called Macarthur Park.
Hey! I've watched the Deluxe Edition of the '68 Comeback Special many times, and noticed that between takes Elvis regularly jokes with a song that I'm interested in. It's something like: "I don't think that I can take it, cause it took so long to bake it, I'll never find that recipe again..." What is this from? A food commercial or what? Anybody? Thank you!![]()

Magazine editor Ann Moses (who was then with Tiger Beat magazine) spoke about Elvis's chitchat in between takes of the 68 special and she says he was so witty and when he sang that snatch of actor Richard Harris's surprise hit McArthur Park-it showed her Elvis was aware of the current hits.
Moses was a the taping of the square stage segments and she is seen sitting on the edge of the stage-she also is in TTWII discussing Tiger Beats covering Elvis's openings in Vegas.
Work in Progress!
Go to link below it tells you the background story to why Elvis was singing it.
