Elvis performs two show's at the International Hotel Showroom. The dinner show was his first opening for the public.

Elvis continues to perforn a Dinner and Midnight Show at the International Hotel, Elvis was quoted during the dinner show as telling the fans in attendance, " " People keep telling me I look young. I don't know how I do it,either. I got very heavy at one time when I was in all those movies,but I lose weight very quickly, you know".

August 3, 1969

A more relaxed Elvis performs at the International Hotel. RCA was on hand to record the complete dinner show.

August 4, 1970


Elvis starts three days of rehearsals at the International's Convention Center. Filming for TTWII started on this date.

August 5, 1974

Elvis sends a check for a $1,000 donation for singer Joe Hunter who was hospitalized with Cancer.

In the evening ,Elvis returnes to Memphis from his fifth tour of 1976.

Elvis holds a complete rehearsal at the main stage of the International Hotel's Showroom. Joe Guercio,the new musical director of the International works with Elvis for the first time.

As Elvis' mother was feeling ill all summer, Elvis insists that she see a doctor. He sent her to Memphis on a train with his father so she could be seen by her personal physician.

Elvis' second annual Summer Festival opens at the Las Vegas Hilton Showroom. Fans noticed that he appeared tired,drawn,and noticeably heavier.

Elvis withdraws his support and financial banking for the Presley Center Courts. Heasked that his name be removed from further aspects of the project.

While in Palm Springs, Elvis goes on a buying spree at Harvey Austin's jewelry store in the evening. He spends $3,026.00

Elvis performs at the Las Vegas Hilton showroom.

At about 3:30 am, Elvis Ginger, Lisa Marie,and Billy Smith leave Graceland for a few hours of " midnight movies". They return to Graceland about 5:30 am.

Elvis starts a "pre tour" fast, limiting his intake to fruits and other light foods. His weight had reached two hundread and fifty pounds and his tour was three days away.

In preperation for the upcomong tour, Dr,Nick orders prescription drugs for Elvis. Between 10:30 and 11:00 pm, Elvis accompanied by Ginger, Charlie Hodge,and Billy Smith visits his Dentist.
