Well, I am so glad to see that I am NOT the only one who sees that CHANGE is needed at Graceland. Starting with the area, leading to the company itself. This link to TripAdvisors is what the general public thinks of their trip to Graceland and how let down and disappointed they were. One even claims there's no entertainment. I hate to say that I told you so, but...I told you so. EPE needs to read this and fast!
Here's just a few of the poor reviews.
“all over priced. tour is boring”

Ppl expect to be entertained a little especially when paying the prices they require. Insead you put on a little headset and listen to a very boring monologue of what you are looking at. The rooms are interesting. It is one thing you should do if in Memphis but don't go for any of the extras like paying to see the Lisa Marie plane, etd.

What to say about this horrible tourist trap. To be fair I was forced into this so I was not happy going into it. $10.00 to park(really). $46.00 to see this old house and there are only a few rooms. You can't go upstairs, and this place is alot smaller than what you would imagine. Yes you get to see his pantsuits, which were cool to see and all of his gold albums were also the highlight. But to be subjected to gift shop after gift shop, $4.00 for a soda(really!!!) The planes were not worth the time, but the cars were pretty awesome. But unless you are madly in love with Elvis I would say skip this. My husband who dragged me into this (reason he did this is because everyone said you have to go there, why would you go to Memphis & not see this) he was disgusted. The commercialism of this place is out of control. You loose sight of the real Elvis and all you see if the gaudy tacky theme park that his family did to get more money.
“The Kings Castle is pretty dumpy”

I guess I went into the trip thinking that Memphis would just be this fairyland fit for the king. We went for my grandmother and even she was disappointed. There were signs on the fast food places around the area that it was not advised to be out after dark. When we got to Graceland it started off okay but there was nothing overly interesting, even for my poor Grandmother. Elvis had some pretty gaudy taste and the top floor was roped off, so we felt kind of robbed of the experience we might have had.
