I have this on the DVD Aloha from Hawaii collection. I don't really like watching him sing the few songs they added to the America broadcast. He seems bored, tired and hate to say it but out of it.
I hope you all like my new upload I've already got my first dislike in first hours you know someone said "Everyone’s entitled to one stupid mistake"so I hope you thumbs up.

I have the DVD, but as it is not subtitled, I've never noticed what he said here, untill now. "Everyone’s entitled to one stupid mistake." This one sentence made it more clear to me what a great man he was! God Bless him wherever he is!

And don't even care about the dislikes Erhan! Probably that person didn't know what music is... Or didn't have ears. I love this song very much!! I don't know how many times he had to sing it finally, but it would never be boring to me to listen to it, not even 20 times.

I have always enjoyed this. I remember what a treat it was hearing it for the first time since it was not used at all in the special or included on the LP. Though it was heard on the Camden LP Mahalo From Elvis it was not heard on the Alternate Aloha CD, which included the rest of the post-broadcast performances.
Speaking of that CD, it was mentioned above that he was bored and tired. He was a little testy perhaps and there is evidence of that on the CD where he sort of snaps at Glen Hardin, "Can't you follow a **** thing? Get with me somewhere in there." It should be noted that he quickly softened the edge of that comment by telling him to do it like Fats Domino and was then quick to laugh at Glen's quick response in his playing.
Anyway, I think it is understandable that he be in such a frame of mind. Granted, he was no stranger to recording at such a late hour, BUT...He was already in post-show come-down mode and then had to re-take the stage but now, after giving the most significant performance of his life, he was just performing to a camera.
I think without even considering that, those songs come across nicely on the American broadcast. So why wasn't No More used? Was it just that time-wise it was not needed? Was it deemed subpar (that first take we saw was inferior overall and the second one was much better but included a minor vocal flub)? Did someone aptly point out that it didn't really fit so well, being an Italian song (remember its context in the movie Blue Hawaii was that it was a song he had learned while in the service)?
I don't know the answer to that. But I really do like it...I think he sang it well and in that second take in particular, really still seemed to care about how it came across.
...you won't forget me when I go.
