At first I was quite pleased with this release, looking at the great artwork. But right after the first spin of the CD the positive feeling was gone: many tracks have poor soundquality compared with the outtakes that we currently have.

It's nice for completists, but really no essential purchase.

That's too bad. I was thinking that this release might be a good place to start for someone who wants to start collecting imports but is perplexed about where to begin. Thank You Very Much (Fort Baxter's Greatest Hits) is good for that, in my opinion.

By the way, nearly every time I see the title of this CD, at first I read it as 'Cold Cuts'!

I thought the sound quality of this cd was just fine. The outtakes even sound a little better than on the original releases!
To me, the overall sound is better than on the earlier releases.

Yes, also "The Prisoners Song" sounds better than before.
And I thought the sound quality on the August 10, 1970 rehearsal ("Polk A Little Sock Salad") improved a lot since the "Hang Loose" release from 1991.

So for fans who are starting a collection, this is a nice compilation cd to look for, since it's almost impossible to get all the original Bilko releases nowadays.
