Kickin' new cover! That's such a great action shot you've chosen because it shows that Elvis was still capable of putting on the moves in the final years (not to mention its being more time-appropriate than the pics from the original and CD from 2000 whose tracklisting you've featured). And reversing the image and altering the lighting to create a rear view of the same instant is sublime. It's like working towards a building a 3-D image when you only have a 2-D one...a start anyway.![]()

...you won't forget me when I go.
Thanks Bobby, the picture was chosen for the action and because it was the Bicentennial year too. I did consider the track listing between the original and the remake in 2000 but then thought the cover I had made leaned more to the contemporary and all inclusive of the other releases rather than a retrospective cover if you know what I meanThere are so many variations of this album see here
I liked the idea of the blue CD to capture the blue vinyl feel. I'm not too sure about the silhouette band, although I'm quite happy with the silhouette audience (thank you Google Images) also on the front cover perhaps I should remove the drop shadows?
Overall I believe the outcome is both in keeping with the time it was released and contemporary enough to give it an facelift?
Achieved, sir.

Nice job JJ ..........
An awesome looking cover. Really nice work!
I LOVE IT MATT!!!
I rated it an 8 only because I'm not so sure about the front cover photo. While I agree that having an action shot is cool, just based on the material on the album itself, I don't think the photo quite goes with the music. But I do agree that having a more date-appropriate picture is a fine idea over the older photos used on the original! And I LOVE the way you have the reverse image on the back cover -- that is ingenious!!!
I also agree that the blue disc re-creates the feel of the original blue vinyl which is a perfect finishing touch to an AWESOME project my friend!!!
There's just something about that front cover photo that bugs me...not that I should critique your work since I can't even draw a stick figure...![]()
