Thanks my friend for the information, always thought this ring was very cool.![]()
Just found this on eBay the other day, for those fans wanting to have their very own TCB ring without the enormous TCB ring price...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Certainly not a bad price for something this large and intricate, but for those on a smaller budget, this seller also has the same ring in small and medium sizes as well for a less expensive price.
Just thought I would share this with everyone...
TCB!

That's certainly interestingThanks for sharing Albert.
There are many things on e-bay that can easily catch my attention, like this coin over here:

Just pretend, I'm holding you, and whispering things soft and low.

Just a word of warning to all of the ETAs who are shopping on ebay for a TCB ring. Don't be misled by all these claims from various sellers that their rings are "made from the original mould" because more often than not they are not.
What you will receive in the post is a vastly scaled-down TCB ring. All of the wonderful ETAs on here who want to own an exact 1 to 1 replica of Elvis' original; you must ensure that you e-mail the seller first and ask for the exact measurements of the ring they are selling. If they refuse to give you the measurements then get another seller.
I bought my 1-1 exact size replica a year ago and I had to go through nearly a dozen different sellers before I found someone who was genuinely offering an exact-size replica.
Here are a couple of pics of my ring:
Another thing to look out for is the quality of the stones. Unless you want to pay for real diamonds, the next best thing is lab created diamonds which is what I have in my ring. They sparkle and catch the light just like real diamonds and they look much better than a lot of the other TCB replicas which only have zirconia stones.
Choose your ebay seller carefully!

Holy cow! That ring is huge!
I've got several rings directly from L. Hayes. They are pretty good quality for the money.

Just wanted to share this. You may have noticed that EPE also sells Mr. Hays' products these days (some of them, anyway). Well, it looks to me as though if you buy from him directly, you save some $.

If I'm not comparing apples to apples, someone let me know but I believe these to be the same sterling silver TCB necklaces -- $160 / $115. And there is another silver one with CZ's in it which Lowell sells for $160, the same price as the one without stones from shopelvis.com, and get this: a silver-PLATED one with CZ's from shopelvis.com sets you back $300.
Oh, this just keeps getting worse.

$1500 for a 14K altered version of the original (appears to be the design of a smaller one made for Lisa, based on info at Lowell's site) or $1100 for an original 14K TCB...hmm, tough one!
It's not just a difference in size and gold weight (I am admittedly making an assumption on those). Consider historical significance, and not just from the standpoint of the original design obviously being preferred: in this design the chain is affixed to the pendant in two places. This is significant because it allowed for no clasp in the chain -- that and its being long enough to fit over the wearer's headAnd that is something that Elvis noted in particular when he gave the TLC's to the women in his life he cared about, saying there were no catches to his feelings. Clever and cool.
So here again they are charging considerably more for an notably inferior product. Or am I missing something?
I've probably said too much. I'll shut up now.
Nope, last one. Certainly looks like apples and apples.

What you might call dopey, my friend, a lot of people would call "magnificent" and a showstopper truly fit for the King. Indeed a ring by any other name would today be called "BLING" as evidenced by the hip-hop culture......it's just another facet of Elvis which goes to show just how far ahead of his time he was- he was also the original "King of Bling" and his most famous piece of jewellery- the TCB ring is not indifferent to the huge, design-heavy rings which the rappers wear today.
A good example is Missy Elliot''s turntable ring:
"Dopey?"
ELVIS- "The Original King of Bling"

Elvis had really big hands. His fingers weren't wide (not normally, though they were swollen at times) but were quite long. As such the TCB ring wasn't as awkward and encumbering to him as it might be on most people -- certainly myself.
Regardless, no, it was anything but a practical item.![]()

lol...........but he wasn't wearing it to be practical was he?........haha
