Closing Night is the FTD that I listen to the least. I listened to it when it first came out and haven't since. I have no future plans to hear it anytime soon.
Won't you sing me away to a summer night, let me hold her in my arms again.

I think it is a great FTD & an outstanding companion for the book "Caught In A Trap."

Hardcore fans couldn't ask for anything more; I wish more of this kind of substantive material (CD & book) would be released, instead of the run-of-the-mill hack products that can easily be found every where you turn nowadays & in the past.

FTD is to be commended for releasing this FTD. If it were a boot (I know it was), in the same quality, ........... everyone would be singing its praises & falling all over themselves to obtain a copy.

Job well done, as usual, FTD.

"Closing Night" is FASCINATING & shows the human side of EP. Anything that does that, is welcome in my book. I haven't enjoyed hearing a 70's concert this much since first encountering some material as a kid .............. AND ............. upon first hearing "Desert Storm" / The Baxter PROFILE Boxsets, & other material.

Love it!! If anything, it sucks that it has taken this long for a lot of this stuff to even come out; better late than never, though .....

Have said it many times before and will repeat it again ----> FTD is a GODSEND for Hardcore fans. We've never had it so good, nor will we ever be likely to again, once the label is history. Enjoy it to the fullest, while it lasts. I surely am.

Closing Night is quintessential 70's Elvis on multiple levels (good & bad). IMO, to be honest, it ain't that bad.

I don't have, nor have read caught In A Trap, but I am listening to Closing Night for the 1st time. I think you're right, Cap, it shows Elvis' human side, which I much prefer over the image. Not that there's anything wrong with his image. It is a significant CD historically, and I for one, am glad it was released! It truly ain't that bad!
