My favourite is "The Phantom of The Opera" and the title song of course. I read the book as well from Gaston Leroux, wonderful story.. I love "The Sound Of Music", "Cats", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "My Fair Lady", "Fiddle On The Roof" as well. But "The Phantom" is my very big favourite. I'm glad you started this thread Cliff!

I could never understand why they did not cast Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in Phantom. I guess the same applies to Julie Andrews in MY Fair Lady.

I love "Little Shop Of Horrors" as well! Musicals are usually not funny I think, but this had so great humour! And there were so great songs in it! That was hilarious when Steve Martin played the dentist in Elvis' style.

Cliff - Trouble in River city - I always sing that one when we pass a Pool Hall! I have so many favorites, and they all have Gene Kelly in it! And this one from Xanadu, is one of my all time favorites, Gene on roller skates, which of course he'd done before!

Return to the forbidden planet is my favourite musical of all time but it doesnt really have much in the way of youtube footage other than tons of schools and community theatre groups however this promo video for a version features the original cast recording of the opener Wipe Out
