Here's an ultra rare look into the pre-production of the Aloha special in 1973 with a behind a scenes look at the show being put together. At the 4:26 mark you will FINALLY see what Elvis saw entering the stage area and walking out onto it that January night in front of the entire world! You will also see just how big that setup really was! Although it's all silent footage and Elvis is nowhere to be found, it's still worth watching.

We will miss you dearest friend
Wouldn't it be cool if EPE were to get a hold of the masters and present a definitive Aloha project for the 40th? I'm talking about a good hour long documentary leading up to the actual show itself.

It surprises me that the hall can only handle about 7,700 seats for sports events, up to 8,800 seats for stage events- with seats set up on the arena floor. I thought it held something like 20,000 seats?
