Still interested in Elvis?

To me this is utter rubbish. You state that it has been quiet because of hostilities toward ETAs. If this were the case and anyone truly cared about this they would defend them, just as strongly as they would any unfair criticism of Evis. To me you insult the intelligence of TCB members. ETAs are not what TCB is all about. My feeling is that most people are indifferent to them or don't even give them the time, unlessof course, they want to share thier views on them. This is what forum is all about.
Your main topic seems to be the ETAs, and as not everyone has your own interest in them perhaps the mods take this into account. Perhaps you should start your own web page. I would be interested to see how many members you get.
As for TCB being quiet, who really knows the answer to this. We don't know what happens with people's lives on the net as we do with friends in our own cities or neighbourhoods. Things change, people move on. I do know last year there were a lot of people upset at the changes made to the TCB format. A lot of them could not understand it and because of this moved on. I notice that there have been more changes lately.Then there were the times that no one could access TCB because it went off line. And of course, there's Facebook. Love it or hate it, it's getting bigger and there are many Elvis groups springing up all the time. I already belong to eight of them and was recently given the honour of being made Administrator of Iran/Elvis.I am using this to bring Elvis music and news to the Elvis fans in Iran.
I still have a great fondness for TCB and quite often visit to see what is being disussed and, if I can, contribute something. It was on TCB that I learned how to cut and paste and to upload pics.
I want to thank Albert for bringing us such a wonderful Elvis sight. I have a lot of happy memories of time spent in the chat room and friends I have made all over the world. Many of them have gone now, but I still think of them.

Very nice post ! I thank you are the most suitable administator for Iran/ Elvis . Iranian people can share many info/vid about Elvis through your posts and I'm sure a new group of Elvis fans are added to Elvis fans world. Iranian fans !

I've tried to post new pictures at different times and everytime they get rejected now!!!!!
And I can't even access my personal picture gallery anymore of which there are quite a few pictures!!!!!(lol)
I'm trying to stay connected and contribute like I always have because I love this site,
but I feel sometimes over the past year or two that I'm being disconnected what with how things have
been going lately.But the people on this site are wonderful and I'm really glad that I have been able to
get to know them and just hope that things return to at least semi normal soon!!!!!

Yes, maybe the gallery is what has changed most..I mean is a lot different as it was before.
They told us they wanted not to have doubles and so on...but the reality is that some pics are always doubles and you haven't real objective rules for posting

i still start my day with E.P. @5am either reading e mails , listening to the latest cd or just going through photos or good photo books. I love talkin . readin , listening and watching ELVIS . i listen to no other singer i just find that E.P.fulfills my musical needs , and i sure couldn't see myself plunking down cash on another artists cd.

I never have gone through these ELVIS phases where intrest in him has wained, i just love ELVIS PRESLEY and his music so much to collect and do on him . I hope i never get bored.

Sure I am. I have been in love with his music for about 17 years now. I'll never grow tired of him. I definitely will never lose my interest in his fantastic voice and his great music.

I've been thinking about this question some more. I think my main personal reason of being less active on Elvis forums, is that over the past 10-15 years I have participated in about all Elvis subjects that had my interest. I know so much more than I did years ago. So much more information has been added to websites and topics, that the amount of remaining (unanswered or undefined) questions (about Elvis, releases, movies, shows, his friends, etc) becoming less and less (and thus result in less activity).

But like Rajo says: I've never grown tired of Elvis and listen to him about every single day.

Am I lost interest of Elvis ? No, I browsed here once awhile, posts some too if the topics interest me, but remember we all have personal life, so the Elvis talk sorta off my mind , but there will be one or two nights in a week when i mainly listens to his music from my Computer, i hit shuffle and turn it loud so i can do my house chores and listening to him as well... it does make the chores fun !!

about ETA, and why TCB world dont discuss it much,... I believe that it is to each of its own, Personally I dont think I will like any impersonator of Elvis as much as I love the real Elvis, I think i'd rather listen to someone who sounds like Elvis but dress in a T shirt and baseball cap, than a man wearing Jumpsuit the 'Elvis wanna be '... Oh well nuff said

TCB world still rocks IMO, I hope all members will stay here for awhile, it is sad to see some good ones left without notice Elvis fans are a huge families , so if any of you want to leave at least let us know , ok ??

I wouldn't lose my interest in elvis for anything and l haven't really been around for quite awhile but my love for him is there and though my child aswell. Having two kids seem to keep me busy non stop and really don't have the time l used to before but l still think about all the people l have met here good and bad. Thank you to all the elvis fan's you all rock..and thank you elvis for bring us all together.
