We Can Make The Morning - What does that mean?

First of all, i like this song very much. It's one of my favorites, i'm able to listen to this song 5 times in a row. English is not my first language but i understand the lyrics. Except the title.
What does it mean? How can anyone "make the morning"???

Yeah this is a fantastic song. Should have been the Side A single instead of the boring Until It's Time To Go. It had more hit potential, in my opinion.

at the symbolic level, it's using the time intervals of night to mean the dark of the relationship and they can get through to the light of morning if they just work through the problems, - the darkest time is before dawn

but also more literally, by not giving up now, they can make the relationship work day by day, hour by hour if need be until, the relationship works,.


but, I can't help but think if the relationship is at the breaking point where it is day by day, it's probably better to call it a day.

if it was salvageable, then, it wouldn't be as much effort as day by day to hold it together

Yeah, it is. It's my favorite track on the NOW album. "Until It's Time" is a close second.
Interestingly on another forum some so called fans think that this song and My Boy are weak. Can't understand why.
In my book both are great. My Boy is quite popular in many countries, but WCMTM is very underrated.

I love this song, i often wondered why it wasn't paired with It's only love as a single release. I know the songs are oppisites in themes but they are two great songs often underratted.
