Now this release will surely got better reviews than legacy's From Elvis in Memphis and On Stage. Why? let's put it this way, back in '60 '61, Elvis was perfect, sinless, by '69 ¿70, despite what he was proving, critics can hadly see beyond an artist flaws. Now most of todays critics, just recycle what critics from before had said, so...
Elvis is Back! is Elvis at the peak of his golden period, and you can make and argument about being his best album actually. So let's see what the press -critics say about this release.

I think that for music critics it weighs quite heavily that by 1970 Elvis covered lots of already well known songs, making him less creditable as an artist. While in the 50s and early 60s, most of his new material was actually written for him.

At 5 p.m. today (6th) 'Elvis Is Back (Legacy Edition)' is No.103 on the Amazon U.S.A. Chart but only No.2274 on the Amazon UK chart.

I guess it must be fluctuating quite a bit, but that's certainly encouraging. Too bad and also a little surprising that it's not higher up in the UK, although it has been out longer and perhaps was doing better before.

'Elvis Is Back' (Legacy Edition) enters the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at No.199 for week ending 26th March. I thought it would have done much better considering it has been in and around the Amazon Top 100 Albums mark for several weeks. Hopefully, it will improve next week.

Unfortunately, 'Elvis Is Back' (Legacy Edition) has dropped out of the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart after only one week.
Very sad for such a great album.

Great review for two great albums, Elvis' voice is absolutely awesome here, 'Surrender', 'it's Now Or Never', 'Like A Baby' & 'His Latest Flame' are huge favourites of mine
Brilliant, i also have the originals, pure class.
