Good interview. I don't understand this part though.

"But when he was on his own, he had on jeans, a cowboy hat, just regular clothes. When he went out, he made sure that if anybody saw him, they saw him at his best. That was part of his life, and a tribute to his honesty and love for his fans."

I've always read that Elvis would not wear jeans as it reminded him too much of when the family had nothing. I guess this does sound a little strange when you think about it.
    Thanks for sharing.

He actually used black jeans a bit often during the 50's. Rarely after the army except on Kid Galahad, Roustabout, Stay Away Joe, some segments of the '68 Comeback Special, in the movie Change of Habit, and he had a white and a blue pants and jacket demin out fit he used around opening season in '69, and a pair of black demin pants that he used in '72, and another he used in '74, although I don't think those last 2 qualify as jeans. And there was another demin outfit he used around TTWII, but yes, that were not jeans at all.

But yes, anyway, jeans and cowboy hat? does not sounds as Elvis being "on his own true self".
