I was wondering how many fans were aware of this information:
While browsing on eBay today, I came across an auction for an "uncut" edition of the FROM SUNSET TO LAS VEGAS FTD. Not knowing what was meant by "uncut", I checked out the auction and discovered that the first pressings of the CD had a track on disc 2 (track #14) which was ELVIS TALKING (August 22nd, 1974 - midnight show).
Apparently (according to the auction seller), someone at RCA/Sony/FTD decided that Elvis' remarks during this track were a little "controversial", so after the first pressing was sold out, subsequent pressings of this title had that track deleted.
Needless to say, I am most definitely curious to see if this is true and if so, how many people here have the pressing WITH the track and the pressing WITHOUT the track. (Luckily, I have the pressing WITH the track) If this is indeed the truth, then those first pressings of the CD will eventually be much more collectible.
Anyone else aware of this???

It has been discussed before on other forums.
I've never bothered to buy this FTD as i have the great unedited bootleg. It's really pathetic what FTD do sometimes. Like this "White Knight" thing recently.

Yep, im happy too with this original boot, warts n all !
By the way,my friends told me that the sound is not better on the FTD at all. It's even edited and doesn't contain the overdubbed "Twelfth Of Never". So there was no reason to buy it.
