About half of my friends on Facebook are my Elvis buddies and the other is family, school buddies, and family friends. After I rejoined the ElvisInsiders that's when I started finding more and more Elvis fans and how they found me. Because I started talking to them on the EI forum and we all became friends. I could friend you on FB and I could introduce you to some of them if you like.

The tag "official" won't define a thing... I mean, there are a lot of fans and so many groups. After all, it's all about sharing our interest for Elvis.
I have Katy W, Scotty Moore and some other people that were related to Elvis in life, but they don't share much.
I have many Elvis fans as friends and like that a lot.

There are lots of Elvis fans on FB....like me....but I am not JUST there as a Elvis Fan.......I am part of a few groups but spend more time with general friends, some of who are Elvis fans and some who have introduced me to alot of other music....Facebook is what you make it....... good or bad.......there seem to be thousands of Elvis Fans on there.....but some are just too blinkered and seem to have nothing else in their lives......not for me I have to say....but they are there if you look for thewm.

Couldn't agree more Jean. First time I signed up for Facebook I only stayed about a month. Nothing was happening. I'd post clips, comments and would get very little or no response from so called friends. I guess like most people I had a few so called celebrity friends,but I feel most of them are on there for self promotion.The only one who seems genuine to me is Kathy Westmoreland. Last year I decided to go back and give it another go. Well, what a big difference. The place is buzzin'. I think this is mainly due to the fact that the world is more aware of Facebook. I now have some very good friends from all over and get a lot of response from them. Like me & you they are Elvis fans but they also dig other music, and interests. I might add here too that I feel a lot of people on Facebook don't fully understand what social networking is all about. I cut my teeth on TCB. But a lot of my so called friends seem to think it's just there to play games like Farmville or whatever. If I was to cut my 43 friends down to the ones I class as real friends I would probably only have 3 or 4.
