Thanks Diane. Some of the questions seemed a bit "out there" but Elvis just eases on through them...I think maybe Elvis was a bit too honest in interviews at the time...maybe that`s why Colonel Tom lived in dread of what his boy might say! Anyway, glad you liked it.
That was fun to watch. I also think that Elvis was a bit too sincere in his early interviews, which isn't bad...Still, I'm glad he later realized that most of the media are predators. You learn a lot from being famous. I'd never like to get myself in those kind of waters, though! Brrr, dangerous...It's better to remain incognito, lol
Thanks a lot for sharing Jack!![]()
Elvis was so naive and natural in those days. It took a lot to make him be more careful over the years. I love watching him that way myself. The gum chewing on Wink Martindale's show, talking about a ring some girl gave him and draping himself all over the jukebox made me smile and then bust out laughing.
Agree...the Wink Martindale interview is classic. You can maybe see why the parents at the time wondered if this was a good role-model for their youngsters! I love all those early interviews...his honesty and natural ways are just great to watch and listen to.
Not sure if it is the full thing, I think so though. Cool find Jack!
I was reading the Japanese subs, and then I noticed o, they speak English hahaha
I actually went looking for this on purpose.... A few nights ago I was watching a documentary on James Dean and they used te little segment where Elvis talks about the comparisons between himself and James dean..just up to "James Dean was a genius".Got me curious to see the rest of the interview.
Thanks for posting this! Id always wondered where the FULL interview was.![]()
