At last! Land ho!
The latest FTD release – FOOL includes a 11.20 minute jam of Bob Dylan's classic , "Don't Think Twice It's All Right."
The news has surprised many on various Elvis forums and it's fantastic to get an unreleased take of such a rare song.
Cheers,
At last! Land ho!
about time, i haven't got many FTD's have they released some of the other jams on other releases.
I never looked for trouble but I never ran.
Awesome. I cant wait to hear it.

hmmm... it's nice to have everything, but 11 minutes? The more, the better?
My cd should be in today, so I'll give the disc a spin rightaway

I'm anxious to get this one! While many have panned this album over the years, my personal opinion is that this album isn't nearly as bad as many have made it out to be. Actually, looking at what the original track listing for this album looked like, I think it would have had a much more disjointed feeling than how it came out to be. I've heard many people say that the FOOL album is just a bunch of leftovers, but I truly feel that the album is a lot more cohesive than it is given credit for.
Just my two cents of course...

i love the fool album, I love Fool, Where Do I go From here and Love Me Love the Life I lead
I never looked for trouble but I never ran.
I hope soon we can get the full unedited jam of "Merry Chrismas Baby", both dubbed and undubbed. But now I'm happy to finally get the full Don't Think Twice jam.
So is Love Letters and Elvis Now. Both albums really are a compilation of everything that was lying around from various sessions. Too bad, because with some work they could have made a great contemporary album of Fool. I really dig the titlesong, since it's one of my alltime favorites. But -as with all leftover albums- the album feels incoherent.
Still haven't received my copy yet.... grrrrrr

I`ve always enjoyed the "Fool" album...my only real complaint is that it is way too short! I know that it isn`t perfect but there is a nice feel to the collection of songs on there.![]()
What's your favourite cut on the new album?
I have also heard that LOVE LETTERS and ELVIS NOW were considered "leftovers" albums when they were originally released, and I guess of the 3 albums, I would have to say that ELVIS NOW is the one that feels the most to me like an album full of leftovers. At least with the LOVE LETTERS album the songs were all recorded around the same time, as opposed to ELVIS NOW where they had to go back and pick up HEY JUDE from the '69 sessions! Personally, I have never thought of LOVE LETTERS or FOOL as having "leftovers" on them. I really think both of those albums have some thread of similarity running through them, albeit it much thinner than other albums.
If it makes you feel any better, I haven't received my copy yet either. Hmmm...maybe the postmaster accidentally delivered your copy in my mailbox my friend???![]()

I agree completely SleepyJack! While some may say it's not Elvis' best material, I really think it's a much stronger album than it is given credit for. Unfortunately, I think the main downfall for the FOOL album is that it came out between the ALOHA FROM HAWAII soundtrack and the LIVE ON STAGE IN MEMPHIS album, 2 albums which were received much better by reviewers and fans and the FOOL album kind of gets overlooked because of it. Couple that with the fact that there was no real hit single released from the album, other than the title track which wound up as a B-side to the STEAMROLLER BLUES single and the lackluster reviews that the album received when it was originally released, and that makes up the general consensus that the FOOL album is not one of Elvis' better albums.
Just my opinion of course...
