Roy Hamilton's vocal style was one of many that was influential on Elvis' and you can hear it on these songs.

I'm the king of the jungle, they call me Tiger Man. If you cross my path, you take your own life in your hands.
I know we've already heard from the Golden Gate Quartet, but I couldnt resist. This is my favorite Gospel number by Elvis.
Dig that suit.

There is always the legendary licks of Jerry Reed that played on Elvis' versions of "Guitar Man" "US Male" and "Big Boss Man"

It give us not only an idea of Elvis musical taste, but also about his musical genius as a performer, as we can hear the unique way in which he lisen to those songs and then play them.

Another Elvis Favourite: Mr Chuck Willis
Can't forget about Ray Charles.
One thing had to be noted about I Got A Woman, is the one song Elvis was doing on stage since the early day (sun era), all the way through his 50's tours, he recorded the thing for his 1st album, he did it in his post army concerts in memphis and hawaii '61, he rehearsed it for the '68 comeback special, and did it live again from '69 to '77. Can't thing of another song that he did more often and for a longer period of time. Guess he liked that one huh?
About What'd I Say, I think his '63 recordind is underrated, plus, his '69 live performance of it, is a killer.
Finally I got the source:
