Hello everyone. I soon wanna order a new Elvis CD, but I donīt know which one yet. I would like to order one from the 1970s. A studio album. Which would you say is very good?
Elvis Country is amazing. Promised Land is good. Elvis Today is underated in my opinion. Those would be my three.
I`ve always liked the "fool" album. The two mentioned in the post before this would be well worth getting also.."Promised Land" and "Elvis Country".
Even though they aren`t original albums both "Essental Elvis Volume 4(A hundred years from now)""Essential Elvis Volume 5(Rhythm And Country)" would be well-worth getting if you don`t already have them. Hope that helps!
Promised Land,Love Letters From Elvis and The Moody Blue album!

"Raised on Rock" is pretty good, very funky sound to it
"Good Times" more country rock to me-but I like it.
"Love Letters From Elvis" this is a middle of the road sound-mellow only 2 rock songs.
Work in Progress!
His best '70's studio albums, to my ears and it seems a concensus of critics, are Elvis Country and He Touched Me.
Promised Land and Moody Blue.
All of them of course, but priorities Elvis Country, Promised Land, Today, FEPBMT and Moody Blue
Which mood your in?
From 1971: "He Touched Me" and "Im 10,000 years old: Elvis Country", are two masterpieces from all his career, were Elvis goes for the music he really loved and inspired him, gospel and country. The FTD classic series covering Elvis country is like THE choice to me, but the regular release is a must.
One underrated album is: '74 "Good Times", on the same feel '75 "Promised Land" is a good choice.
Now about compilations: Essential Elvis vol.4 or vol.5 are the choices.
My advice is: go to youtube, and look for songs on each album you got in mind, and there you get a better idea what's on each one.
