Can't help ya out my friend, don't have this one, and since you explained there is really nothing Earth-shattering, I will not be getting one. Thanks my friend.![]()
Just curious to see if anyone here has purchased the new FTD book/CD KING CREOLE - THE MUSIC and if so, how is it??
I'll most likely pick it up to keep my FTD collection complete, but from looking at the early information on this set, aside from some previously unseen pictures, there's nothing really new or Earth-shattering here and the music is all previously released. That being said, I am hoping that maybe there is some hidden gems in the book that would make it really stand out.
Reviews or thoughts anyone??

There is some pictures I have never seen before, like the ones where he sings the song "Danny"
(I did not know they filmed that song for the movie)
I've got this and think it's great. A lot of pictures I haven't seen before. The CD sound is great also. It's hard to believe that this is all that remains of the 'King Creole' tapes.
That aint tactics honey....that's just the beast in me.

I know....it's truly sad that those 50's tapes were recorded over because of the expense of recording tape back then. Just imagine how much more unreleased material we could have if those tapes hadn't been recorded over...
But then again, considering the age of those tapes, it's a wonder we have managed to get as much unreleased 50's material as we have so far!!
