From Elvis Information Network:
"'You Give Me Fever' - new Spankox Remix: 33 years after Elvis left the building his 1960 song 'Fever' is released as a new rapped-up single. Based on Elvis’ classic Fever, the new song features the original voice of the King in a whole new context, with new rap vocals, new female vocals and an ultra-contemporary arrangement. You Give Me Fever is produced and co-written by Agostino Carollo Spankox, who in 2008 also produced the third official Presley’s remix released by Sony Music, Baby Let’s Play House. Elvis’ You Give Me Fever is scheduled to be released on Aug. 4, 2010 as exclusive digital download from the Apple iTunes Store and on CD single on Aug.16, 2010, day of the 33rd anniversary of Elvis’ demise. Both the digital download and the CD edition of the single includes 3 versions of the song: a radio edit, an extended mix and a ringtone version. “You Give Me Fever continues the revolution and is destined to deliver Elvis to a whole new generation of music fans in a cool and compelling way” said Mark Johnson, Brand Partnership Manager of ELPR, Inc. “We're always wary of anything that involves altering Elvis' master recordings in any way, but You Give Me Fever is simply mind-blowing. Elvis is a great and constant source of inspiration for the creativity of other artists, and this is an outstanding example of that.”

I'm curious to see what everyone thinks of this remix. Honestly, after listening to it, I am speechless...and not in a good way either...

It is pretty bad. I read up on Spankox, I never knew his Baby Lets Play House remix got to number one in the Italian download chart.
I didn't know that either italianfan.
Personally, I liked the BABY LET'S PLAY HOUSE remix...at least you could understand words and Elvis was actually featured in the song. With this new FEVER remix, it almost seems to me like they threw Elvis' vocal into the song as an afterthought...

Distasteful. Spankox has really done it this time! I always felt that his remixes were nothing more than mediocre, but this one really takes the cake. It makes you speechless indeed. Can't someone stop this guy?
If you want to promote Elvis to a new generation, it can be done in better ways!!!![]()

My sentiments EXACTLY gunter!
Up to this point, I've been on the fence about Spankox' remixes....some have been good, others just o.k. But this latest remix is just plain AWFUL!!! While I applaud EPE's efforts to present Elvis' music to a new generation, I agree with you that there HAS GOT TO BE A BETTER WAY to do it than this!! At least with the other remixes, there was some semblance of the original music incorporated into the remix...with this, there is nothing but Elvis' voice and even then, as I said earlier, it simply appears they threw some of Elvis' vocal into the song just so they could say it was an Elvis Presley song.
