    Las Vegas

Am hopefully going to Las Vegas in the summer. Any suggestions on "Elvis" places (or even non-Elvis places) to go?

We have been before but not for a few years, so will go and see the statue at the Hilton and the Elvis museum off the strip All suggestions appreciated. x

Only the obvious ones May..................Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon are both a must. Spectacular

If your adventurous, the rides at the top of the Stratosphere tower will get the blood pumping..........LOL

Elvis-A-Rama has sadly closed down, but there is the Kings Ransom museum on the third floor of the Imperial Palace run by Bud Glass (on the Strip)
There is Elvis's star out front of the Riviera Hotel on the Strip. There's some nice Elvis goodies at a shop in the Tropicana. The Little Church of The West (near the Welcome to Vegas sign) is the one Lucky and Rusty got married in in Viva Las Vegas! There's a couple of Elvis waxworks in Tussauds at the Venetian and some memorabilia in the Hard Rock and Planet Hollywood. Dont forget to go to see Viva Elvis at the Aria!!

Yes, we went there on the last trip. Had a fantastic ride up the Colorado river. And no WAY would you get me on that thing at the Stratosphere!! Only just managed to get on the New York New York casino rollercoaster! And I think thats quite tame compared to the other one!!

That new walkway at the Grand Canyon wasn't there when we went. But I don't fancy that much. It looks like it will just snap off with too many people on it!

By the way, make sure you have an Elvis t-shirt on when you go to look at the Showroom in the Hilton - if you're lucky a nice security guard might take you in and show you around - happened when i went!

Oh no. That's a shame. When we visited there previously, we met Darlene Thompkins who played one of the school girls in Blue Hawaii. I was hoping to meet some other Elvis-related people! Thanks for letting me know.

    What is the Aria ?

Brilliant idea. Thanks. I will report back if I get lucky too!!! Is the showroom there the ACTUAL one Elvis performed in?

    Re: Las Vegas

Yes, its the very showroom - but its laid out like a theatre now, without the tables they had in Elvis's day.
The Aria is the hotel at the new City Center complex and their theatre is the home of the new Cirque du Soliel show Viva Elvis.
