    Blue Hawaii Barbie-Elvis?

    Hi all,

    I've been away from TCB long time... so I don't know if you already talked about this doll.

    I'm a big Barbie fan. Have a small collection and now I'm planning to get all Elvis dolls available (if I find them in low prices, lol), specially the "Timeless treasures" serie.

    You like this doll, or think other Elvis' character was a better opcion for making a doll?

    If it's made by Mattel I probably will buy it eventually but I still have the Army, Wedding and Jailhouse Rock to get that to me look much better.

    When I saw this doll (is not in the market yet), I knew EPE made a mistake making it. They don't study the fans' taste... and they didn't study the market this time. (Surprised? xD).

    I've been looking for the Timeless treasures series. They were a real beauty and as far as I know, mattel stopped that serie back in 2002. Now, taking advantage of 50th anniversary of Barbie, they came out with the idea of the Jailhouse rock doll. That was good, cause it was a missing in the timeless series. Jailhouse rock is an icon in Elvis' career. ;]

    The wedding set... I ain't planning to get it. Seems too much "superficial". I stil don't like Priscilla, so have her as doll is a big no-no for me.

    The Blue Hawaii doll seems to be created just to sell. EPE is only thinking in makin' money.

    NOTE: If any of you has the Army doll, would you tell me if it has it's hat on? Cause I found a doll with the hat on... Funny, isn't it?

    I'm collecting the mcFarlane dolls, this one doesn't look like him, If I got any - it would be the Barbie Loves Elvis set.

    I like the Mattel set in general, but this latest one doesn't seem to come up to the others but may still get it to complete the set. I have the Barbie Loves Elvis one Lisarose and I say go for it...you'll love it!
