How about Mr. Gilmour, if anyone ever thought Pink Floyd was to faraway from Elvis. Maybe they where, but deep in their heart, everybody from that generation loved Elvis:

Mac Davis who wrote the song "In the Ghetto" did quite a nice live version of the song himself. His voice will never compare to Elvis`, but he did it with passion IMO. Anyway....the song will always be an Elvis song to most.
