Man what a low voice.. nice idea to explore this, Lonnie. Please give me some time though!
Check out this amazing video. It is a compilation of fans' submissions of computer-painted images that are their renderings of frames from existing footage. The video is constantly evolving as new frames are added and rated and used accordingly. It is a Johnny Cash song that is among his very last recordings and was released just a few weeks ago -- a really cool song to have released posthumously.

I did one and I'm pretty proud of the effort but unfortunately I experienced a glitch on the site and what I did was not properly submitted. I did take a screenshot though and I've emailed their support on the chance that they can add it manually. I'm not counting on that though.
Before you get too impressed, know that this was like an overlay. So we had a really nice guide and that's why the proportions are all pretty good -- the lines were basically there for us to trace over if we wished. But aside from that, it was just a blank black screen with some pretty basic Paint-like tools to use. The one screenshot shows basically all that was there.
Anyway, I enjoyed it. And it's just such a neat idea and to watch it is really mesmerizing, I think. I hope you'll agree. And if you have a go at it, I hope you are spared the technical difficulties I went through. Boy, was I mad.Obviously it works for most people so don't hold back. Please let me know to watch for your frame if you do it.

all the goons I left behind,
memories still linger..
Yes. His aged and ill voice still had some magic to it. It still sounded like him certainly and the seasoned / weathered aspect to it definitely seemed appropriate on much of the material he was choosing to record there at the end.
What's amazing to me is how young he sounded in the 90s more in the beginning of that comeback with the American Recordings when he did songs like I've Been Everywhere and Rusty Cage.
So many Elvis-ish themes here, aren't there? And that's not even talking about the types of songs and music...
This video project is just so cool in so many ways. Very forward-thinking on the part of the people behind this.
Look forward to seeing your contribution, Fabian. Don't spend too much more time than I did though!I guess I spent around 3 hours or a little less on that, fwiw.

i enjoyed this ..the whole art process of the video looks very good indeed.
It truly is. The idea and the implementation are superb (aside from whatever was behind my error). I have to watch the video all the time.
